Lent has begun, a sacred journey of forty days inviting us into renewal, reflection, and deeper trust in God. Just as Christ entered the desert to prepare for His mission, we too are called to step away from the noise of daily life and rediscover what truly matters. This season is not meant to weigh us down, but to gently guide us back to God, allowing His grace to renew our hearts with hope.
Through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, Lent helps us refocus our lives and grow in patience, kindness, and mercy. As one parish family, may this be a time to strengthen our faith both at home and within our community, remembering that even small acts of love and sacrifice can draw us closer to Christ.
We warmly invite you and your loved ones to take part in the many Lenten opportunities offered at Holy Name – St. Gregory the Great. May these forty days help us listen more deeply, love more generously, and walk together toward the joy of Easter.
Join us every Friday of Lent at 6:00 PM in the church for our Tri-Lingual Stations of the Cross, celebrated in English, Spanish, and French. This beautiful devotion allows us to journey with Christ in prayer and unity as one parish family.
We warmly invite you to our Lenten Vespers, held every Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Together we will pray the Liturgy of the Hours, the official prayer of the Church, a peaceful and powerful way to step away from the noise of daily life and enter into God’s presence.
